Retreat
Ubuntu & remembering the Web of Life
Looking at today’s world we see and experience many signs that reveal a disconnection from the greater whole: from nature, from one another, and from the wisdom that once guided us.
During this 2-day retreat Sicelo Mbatha and Petra van de Kop take us on a journey in which we will explore and experience our relationship with the earth and nature. We will explore what it takes to re-member, to make ourselves member again of the web of life and take our rightful place amongst all beings.
Sicelo will inspire us with his Ubuntu teachings and share his ancient Zulu wisdom about deep relationship with land, ancestors, and all living beings. Petra will facilitate systemic explorations such as land constellations to experience the wisdom of place and land and ancient sense of connection and belonging.
We will spend time in nature and do phenomenological inquiries in which we will slow down, experience presence and stillness, come back to our senses and revive the Ubuntu inside ourselves. During moments of collective inquiry, sharing and deep listening we will explore and discover what inner and outer leadership emerges or revives in you from being grounded in interdependence.
Trainers Sicelo Mbatha is spiritual nature guide from South Africa and author of the book “Black Lion”. As a nature and wilderness guide Sicelo fosters deep connections between humans, the horses and nature.
