CourseThe Healing Art of Touch
The body never lies. That is why it is so incredibly important to be able to read the information the body gives us: it always shows how someone is truly doing. For those who can sense and feel into the body, remarkably effective answers can emerge. This understanding also forms the foundation of osteopathy and craniosacral therapy. These healing modalities are an important source of inspiration and learning in this training. During the training days, we offer a new perspective on the role of the body in systemic work.
In this training we will learn, among others, from international trainer Simon Hausner. For that reason, the language of instruction is English.
For whom?
The training The Healing Art of Touch is intended for systemic facilitators who want to learn to truly feel into the body — as a valuable deepening and as a fundamentally different approach from mere observation.
Purpose of the training
Observation is an important part of systemic work and provides valuable information about the client, the representative, and the facilitator. But in this training, you will learn more than observation: you will learn how to feel through and be fully present in your own body — and in the body of the client.
We will learn to make deeper contact with the body using highly effective techniques from, among others, osteopathy and craniosacral therapy, and we combine these with our systemic understanding.
We will also explore the technique Presence in Stillness, a way of working developed by Mike Boxhall (1931–2019). We will investigate the concept of being present. What does that actually require? It is not about doing, but about listening to what wants to emerge.
In this training, we learn to read, feel, and perceive the body on a different level. We integrate bodywork into the client’s systemic process, helping the body restore its natural self-regulation and bring blocked structures into movement.
Programme
The training The Healing Art of Touch consists of 3 modules of 3 days each. In this in-depth training for systemic facilitators, you will learn to:
- refine our perception of the individual and the collective
- observe and read the body using techniques from osteopathy and craniosacral therapy
- understand how mind, emotions, and bodily sensations are interconnected
- lead and follow constellations in direct contact with the body of both client and facilitator
- tune into the synchronicity of the field, the body, and the constellation
- explore and deepen our presence
MODULE 1: Observing the movements and reactions of the body
In this module, we will learn techniques from osteopathy and craniosacral therapy. You will learn how to apply co-regulation and gain insight into how the nervous system works.
MODULE 2: Presence in stillness and in nature
In the second module, we learn to perceive the deeper results of presence and stillness. We will spend a day with horses in the natural surroundings of Gieten. This module is centered around the theme: “To be heard and to be held is to be healthy.”
MODULE 3: Combining and integrating into systemic work
The final module focuses on combining and integrating this knowledge into your systemic practice. We will practice constellations and learn from the timing and rhythm of integration within ourselves and our clients.
