The foundation of systemic phenomenological work

Strange Behavior

Bibi Schreuder

Join this workshop at Timeless in the WE!

When we see children behave ‘strange’, then we call it ‘strange’ because it is not behavior we expect as a reaction on the here and now. So actually strange behavior is behavior we as adults, do not understand. Then it becomes interesting to see what systemic message the strange behavior brings to us.

Unconsciously, we already sense that there is no place for this message and we try to correct; the behavior, or: get rid of it. And thus we repeat the pattern, because usually; strange behavior; tries to bring back into the picture something that was excluded in previous generations. In this workshop we will do an exercise in the form of a mini constellation and Bibi will do a constellation in response to a case study of a parent or professional working with children.

About the Bert Hellinger Institute

People are constantly evolving. With each other, without each other. In families, in teams, in organizations. Systemic thinking makes us aware of the “why” of our being and doing. Organizational and family constellations create room for movement. The BHI provides courses, workshops and training programs in the field of systemic work, constellations, leadership and coaching. This is how we contribute to the development of people, organizations and society.

For up-and-coming and established leaders. An initiative of the Bert Hellinger Institute.
